A Launch Website That Makes People Wait For It: The Marketing Site Behind Ohhyeah

Incredible Visibility designed and built ohhyeah.io, the public face of Ohhyeah's countdown-based live reveal platform. The site turns the product's core idea, anticipation over the endless feed, into a scroll experience, and drives brands, artists, and event organizers into the beta program

Overview

Ohhyeah is "the block party for announcements", a mobile platform where brands, artists, festivals, and sports teams schedule a countdown to a reveal. Fans gather in live chat, play trivia, and enter giveaways, then unlock the announcement together at zero.

Before the app reached the stores, Ohhyeah needed a public home that could explain an unfamiliar idea in seconds and recruit its first communities. ohhyeah.io is that home: a single-page brand site that sells the feeling of the product, answers the hard questions, and routes qualified organizers into the beta program.

We built the site alongside the Ohhyeah app, so the brand, the language, and the countdown mechanic stay consistent from the first scroll to the first live event.

The Challenge

Ohhyeah's pitch runs against everything visitors are used to. The product asks people to wait, in a world trained to expect everything instantly. A standard SaaS landing page with feature grids and stock screenshots would have buried that idea the same way social feeds bury announcements.

The site had to do four jobs at once:

  • Make the problem felt, not just stated: announcements lost in the doom scroll
  • Explain a new category, the countdown-to-reveal event, to six very different audiences
  • Handle objections up front, such as "is this just a chat room with a timer?" and "do I have to leave my other platforms?"
  • Convert the right visitors, organizers with engaged communities, into beta applicants

It also had to stay easy for a small founding team to update as the product, beta, and launch plans changed.

Our Approach

We treated the website as the product's first event: something visitors experience, not a brochure they skim.

  1. Story Before Features The page opens on the problem. Kinetic "BLAH", "DOOM SCROLL", and "LIKE / COMMENT" type recreates the noise of the feed, so the Ohhyeah answer lands as relief.
  2. Motion That Carries Meaning Every animation maps to a product idea: a live countdown for anticipation, scroll-driven reveals for the unlock moment. We used GSAP with ScrollTrigger, SplitText, and ScrollSmoother to keep that motion smooth and controlled.
  3. A Bold, Unmistakable Brand High-contrast yellow, heavy condensed type, and playful iconography give Ohhyeah a festival-poster energy that stands apart from typical B2B launch pages.
  4. One Clear Conversion Path Every section points to a single goal: apply for the beta. Secondary actions, such as social follows and the community link, support it without competing.
  5. Built For A Team That Moves Fast We built in Webflow so the founder can edit copy, swap content, and show or hide sections as the launch plan evolves, without waiting on a developer.

What We Built

A Countdown-Led Hero

The site opens on the tagline "The Block Party For Announcements" and a live ticking timer. Visitors feel the product's core mechanic before they read a word about it.

The Doom Scroll Narrative

Scroll-driven kinetic typography stacks repeating "BLAH", "DOOM SCROLL", and "LIKE / COMMENT" bands over animated product iconography. It shows why announcements fail on social feeds, then hands off to the Ohhyeah promise: make the announcement the main event.

Audience Use-Case Cards

Six cards show how the same countdown works for music festivals, world tours, brands, sports teams, artists, and exhibits. Each one frames a concrete moment, from lineup announcements to product launches, so every visitor finds their own use case.

Beta Program Funnel

An exclusive-access section speaks directly to brands, creators, and event organizers with engaged communities, and routes them into the beta application. The section highlights founding-member perks to raise application intent.

Objection-Handling FAQ

An FAQ written in the brand's voice answers the questions a skeptical organizer actually asks: why a "forced pause" matters, what happens during a countdown, how to create an event, and how Ohhyeah fits with existing social channels.

Gated "Redacted" Section And Engagement Layer

A pass-key gated section rewards early insiders and fits the brand's reveal theme. A canvas-based coin animation, contact and subscription modals, and links to X, TikTok, and Instagram round out the experience.

The Impact

ohhyeah.io gave Ohhyeah a launch-ready public presence that explains a new category in one scroll and turns interest into beta applications.

  • A live, single-page brand site that tells the full story: problem, promise, use cases, beta offer, and FAQ
  • A distinctive visual identity and motion system that sets Ohhyeah apart from standard launch pages
  • A focused beta acquisition path for brands, creators, and event organizers
  • Use-case messaging for six audiences: festivals, tours, brands, sports, artists, and exhibits
  • A Webflow build the founding team can update without developer support
  • Brand and messaging aligned with the Ohhyeah mobile app, so the website and the product feel like one experience

The website sets the stage. The app delivers the moment.

One Partner, Website To App

Incredible Visibility is Ohhyeah's sole design and engineering partner. The same team that designed and built the iOS and Android apps, the real-time backend, and the release pipeline also delivered ohhyeah.io. That continuity kept the story, visual language, and product promise consistent at every touchpoint, from the first site visit to the first live reveal.

Industry Relevance

Consumer launches live or die on first impressions. Ohhyeah shows how we build marketing sites for pre-launch products: we explain a new idea fast, give the brand a voice people remember, and point every section at one conversion goal. The same approach fits social apps, events and ticketing, music and entertainment, and creator-economy products that need to build an audience before launch day.
